Marc is the founder and President of B2B Baseball & Softball Academy. His work with players is unprecedented. Marc played two years at Division 1 University of Louisiana Monroe for two years and lettered both years at shortstop. He transferred to Division 2 powerhouse Mansfield University of PA in 1992-93 and was on the team that won 2 state and regional championships, advancing to the College World Series both years. His senior year the team was ranked in the top 5 in the nation, and won the national batting title that year with a .371 team batting average. In one of his last games of the year in the World Series, he was 4-5 with a home run against Florida Southern University.

 

Marc was also a school teacher for 12 years, having won the Amerihost Teacher of the Year in 2000 for his work with kids. He holds his Masters Degree in Education, separating himself from other instructors with no teaching background. He takes great pride in getting kids to learn, not just teaching without a purpose.

Shaun Vernesoni is the Assistant Director of Scouting for Prep Baseball Report Pennsylvania. Vernesoni finished his college playing days this past spring at Fairmont State where he led catchers in all divisions of NCAA baseball in throwing efficiency for the 2012 campaign. He had 35 assists on the season and threw out an impressive 21-of-32 runners trying to steal. He acted as the Team Captain at Fairmont State in each of the last two years and was named Team MVP following the 2012 season. Vernesoni also played at one of the premier junior colleges in the country (Calhoun Community College - Decatur, AL) as well as at West Virginia State during his college playing career. 

 

Shaun is the Program Director for our Bombers Travel Baseball Organization and head coach of our 17u travel team. Shaun's experience and knowledge will help you become a better player and get ready for playing at the next level!

Frank Cooney has been an associate area scout for the Toronto Blue Jays since 2011 and an area scout for Prep Baseball Report since 2012. Prior to joining the B2B staff he coached the Chester County Crawdads travel team which won the 201216U Triple Crown United States Championship and the 2013 Diamond Nation Super 17. Additionally, he served as the hitting coach for the Geneva Red Wings in the MLB funded New York Collegiate Baseball League for two summers.

 

Frank is a native of Massachusetts, where he had the opportunity to work with Tim Collins (LHP Kansas City Royals) and Tyler Beede (RHP Vanderbilt - Golden Spikes Runner-Up in 2013). Frank has helped place dozens of athletes into college programs and professional organizations. He will be serving as the Director of Showcases and Coaches Clinics as well as coaching on the 17U Bombers staff.

Melvin brings a wealth of experience to B2B having played 12 seasons in professional baseball. As a middle infielder and outfielder, he played in the Boston, Montreal, Washington, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Philadelphia Phillies organizations. While in the Washington Nationals organization, he made it to the big leagues during the 2006 season.

1999: Signed as a Free Agent by the Red Sox as a 16 year old                          out of Venezuela
